Glossier Taps WNBA Muses for Its Latest Lip Gloss Launch

Three new shades, worn by four of basketball’s biggest stars.

Glossier, the global makeup and skincare brand known for capturing millennial hearts, has geared up to transport us back in time and onto the nostalgic lip gloss craze.

Launching three new shades of the cult Glossier Lip Gloss, the beauty brand also dropped a campaign featuring four of the WBNA’s biggest stars: Brionna Jones, DiDi Richards, Skylar Siggins-Smith and Ezi Magbegor. Following in the footsteps of the fashion world, Glossier sees these athletes as “modern-day muses whose power comes from both their strength and their femininity,” the brand said in a press statement.

For Glossier, the WBNA is a beacon of power, providing young women with role models to look up to in the world of basketball. This athletic partnership echoes what we’ve seen recently in the beauty and fashion industries — Kiss’s and Olympian Suni Lee’s collaboration, for example. Glossier is the official beauty partner of the WNBA, and most recently backed Team USA at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The three new shades (‘Brown’, ‘Prism’ and ‘Bronze’) are formulated to be long-lasting, plush and have a super glassy sheen, all in neutral earth tones picked by the Glossier community themselves. The brand says you can wear them solo for a sheer look or on top of your favorite lipsticks or lip liners for extra shine.

The Glossier Lip Gloss retails at $17 USD and is available via the brand’s website.
