Featuring vibrant colors selected by Na Chainkua Reindorf, this large-scale renovation with Project Backboard also expands Glossier’s ongoing partnership with the WNBA.
Since 2020, Glossier and the WNBA bring a revolutionary approach to sports partnerships, inspired by the unique focus on beauty pursued by female athletes. Emphasizing how WNBA players sit at an “intersection of culture, sports and lifestyle,” this rising category of influencers embody Glossier’s real life portrayal of beauty, powered by rigorous activity, sweat and skill.

From lifting spirits during the bubble of the 2020 season to Glossier powering Caitlin Clark’s debut at the 2024 draft, Cathy Engelbert, the WNBA’s Commissioner, sees beauty as a way to help the league, as well as all women, “go from survive to thrive.” With the brand’s “YOU LOOK GOOD” slogan hanging courtside, the renovated court reminds New York City that increasing beauty visibility can be fueled by communal play and creativity.
Located in Tompkins Square Park, the revamped basketball courts are now available for recreational activities for generations to come.
