Featuring the top designer sneaker collaborations from recent years, available on GOAT.
With sneakers like the highly coveted AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High, the number of designer fashion labels collaborating with classic footwear brands continues to grow. AMBUSH’s latest Nike collaboration twists the model’s most important features to give women a more dynamic way to integrate skate-inspired Dunks into their closets. Other popular sneaker collaborations have re-worked classic silhouettes, added unique material or colored elements and show off designer co-branding in a sleek way.
As it gets closer to the December release of the AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High, we’ve partnered with GOAT to re-visit some of the best designer sneaker collaborations for women in recent years.
AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High “Black”
Designed as a collaboration with Tokyo-based fashion label AMBUSH, this Dunk High in the “Black” colorway adds exaggerated details to this classic sneaker silhouette. The Nike Swoosh on the side of the shoe has a pointed tail that extends past the heel to add a dynamic sense of movement. Additional AMBUSH branding is also found on the heel and on top of the sneaker’s exposed foam tongue.
Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Court Lux”
Released in 2018, this Aleali May x Air Jordan 1 Retro High is part of the Court Lux collection that the L.A.-based celebrity stylist created with basketball player Maya Moore for the Jordan brand. Featuring waxed laces and a removable faux fur cover on the tongue, this sneaker also weaves Moore’s favorite uniform colors throughout the shoe’s suede material.
Melody Ehsani x Air Jordan OG SP “Cherry”
This black and cherry red sneaker is the first women’s Air Jordan OG collaboration with LA-based designer Melody Ehsani. Additional details like reflective detailing, a red Jumpman logo, ‘ME’ lettering on the heel and an enamel cherry emblem will help this shoe pop with any outfit you style with it.
AMBUSH x Converse Chuck 70 Fuzzy “Navy Blue”
Covered in a fuzzy shearling wool in a “Navy Blue” color, the AMBUSH x Converse Chuck 70 gives a bold twist to the Converse Chuck 70. With interesting details like a cut-out section on the medial side to reveal the signature ankle patch from Converse. The custom sock liner on this sneaker also has AMBUSH branding.
Charlotte Olympia x PUMA Pulsar “Red Dahlia”
Created in collaboration with London-based designer Charlotte Olympia, this PUMA women’s mesh sneaker has a retro-glam aesthetic. The Charlotte Olympia x PUMA Pulsar sneaker also features burgundy leather overlays, branding in gold foil script at the heel and a spider web graphic.
Her Studio London x adidas Superstar “Autumn Floral”
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the popular Superstar silhouette, adidas collaborated with a female-owned design studio to make the Her Studio London x adidas Superstar. The classic white leather upper is accented with gradient red coloring and a subtle “Autumn Floral” design. Other details like matching gold top eyelets and a metallic adidas logo also elevate this sneaker.
Ivy Park x adidas Superstar Platform “Cloud White”
The Ivy Park x adidas Superstar Platform is another interpretation of the iconic Superstar silhouette by Beyoncé. This sneaker has a more traditional color scheme but features an angular platform sole in a vintage off-white finish. Unlike other Superstar models, the Ivy Park collaboration also has a slimmer shape throughout to draw more attention to the unconventional proportions.
Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Sail”
Made in partnership with the Japanese fashion label Sacai, the Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle re-interprets some of the design details introduced in the brands’ first collaboration in 2019. Dramatic details like doubled tongues, doubled Swooshes and an exaggerated stacked midsole are complemented with split construction at the heel. The “Sail” colorway also features off-white mesh with tonal suede overlays and a nautical red leather heel tab.
