Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art x TRAVIS TADDEO Drop Limited Edition Capsule Collection
In celebration of Pride Month.
The only dedicated LGBTQIA+ museum, the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, partners with fashion designer TRAVIS TADDEO for a limited capsule collection.
Now available, the limited edition drop marks the museum’s first fashion collection, captured by Deonté Lee. Featuring the words of transgender pioneer Candy Darling, the capsule collection hosts a range of handmade silk scarves, handmade t-shirts, tote bags with “work by Candy Darling in the Museum’s permanent collection.”
In celebration of Pride Month and queer community, the museum hosted an open call and gathered a “line-up of community members and talents” to star “in a day-long photoshoot, taking over the Museum’s galleries and recently renovated office spaces.” Featured are the likes of model and actor “Brigette Lundy-Paine, Mugler muse Connie Fleming, performance artist Kembra Pfahler, author and creative Jezz Chung, and curator Souleo, along with members of the Leslie-Lohman community, including Lukasz Leja, Olivia Morgan, Peter Erik Lopez, and Amber Jones.”
Alyssa Nitchun, Executive Director at Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, shared, “As the Museum continues to bring its vision beyond the gallery walls and work with artists across creative disciplines, we are excited to partner with our neighbors Travis Taddeo. Our Pride collaboration was dreamed up in the spirit of friendship, community, and the power of queer creativity.”
Travis Taddeo, continues, “This Pride, having the privilege of creating with my peers in our community brings a sense of strength and limitless freedom. Individual expression is so important to our growth – it inspires and lights the way to our future.”
Shop the collection on TRAVIS TADDEO’s website, at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art or in store at the TRAVIS TADDEO flagship store in Soho, New York, from June 20.
All proceeds from sales will support the Museum’s ongoing and future programming.
