Angelina Jolie Stars In Tom Ford Beauty's Latest Makeup Campaign
“Runway Lip Color,” directed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
In August, the iconic beauty and fashion brand, Tom Ford, announced that Academy Award, Golden Globe and Tony Award winner, Angelina Jolie had become the face of its Runway Lip Color. Now, the brand is premiering a short film to accompany the summer announcement of its latest ambassador.
Directed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, this short film pays homage to the beauty of women and all of the power that they bring. The new campaign video showcases Jolie studying for a role, in a way that mimics a portrait being taken.
A legend in the film, theater, fashion and now the beauty space, Jolie’s stature has helped her establish herself as a multifaceted artist. Recently, she’s also founded Atelier Jolie, a mecca for those in fashion to create openly, focusing on sustainability.
Tom Ford first entered the lip category in 2010 with its Private Blend Lip Color Collection, making way for this latest makeup iteration, one that is a “staple on the runway and a true luxury piece to usher in a new era,” the brand said in a press statement. This lipstick is made with a formula that both hydrates and conditions lips, with an intense color payoff. The collection has 18 shades, 10 of its previous iterations and eight new, never-before-seen colors.
