Hypebae's 2024 Gift Guide: Give a Rotation Refresh With New Nike Kicks

One can never have enough stealthy sneakers.

It wouldn’t be a Hypebae Gift Guide without a generous helping of sneakers, and this week Nike comes right on cue with new iterations of its must-have silhouettes.

In tones of “Black,” “Wolf Grey,” and “Burgundy Crush,” the sportswear brand dials down the bold and bright colorways for the winter ahead, instead focusing on technical materials that protect against the elements. Stealthy and hardwearing, each drop personifies Nike’s modern design language.

Explore Hypebae’s pick of new season sneakers you need to add to your shopping list in the edit below.

The Shox TL is undoubtedly Nike’s silhouette of the season. Maintaining the distinctive qualities of the original 2003 model, the contemporary iteration features a padded mesh body overlaid with a webbed cage that flows seamlessly into the springy Shox technology base. In a “Wolf Grey,” “Metallic Silver” and “Black” colorway, its striking build comes highlighted with full impact.

Shox TL “Black”

Tinted in black from sole to upper, the second Shox TL to star in the edit is one for all seasons. Whether treading in snow or pacing through leaves, the TPU plate in the heel lends stability as well as comfort, and can be wiped down with no trace of wear thanks to its all-black makeup. Other features include Shox branding on the tongue and heel tab.

Zoom Vomero 5 “Black/ Burgundy Crush”

Techy in look and feel, the most recent Zoom Vomero 5 iterations have been pushing the running silhouette into gorpcore territory. While some adopt a reinforced mudguard or thick midsole, this particular model stays streamlined yet introduces the addition of a ripstop upper, mesh tongue, and rope laces. To finish, “Burgundy Crush” and “Midnight Navy” metallic panels give the shoe an extra holiday-ready shine.

Shox R4 “Black”

Though the Shox R4 has a history in gyms and on running tracks, the futuristic-looking model is most commonly associated with music artists. This all-black version exemplifies Nike’s approach this season – paring back the bold tones and focusing on the silhouette loved by many at the turn of the century. P-6000 “Black/ Burgundy Crush”
