Poppy Prescott is the new pre-teen villainess in Despicable Me 4. To highlight the character’s newest addition into the popular title, the franchise tapped Converse to create a custom Converse Chuck 70 high top in hot “Poppy Pink.”
Voiced by actress Joey King, Poppy Prescott is an ambitious, soon-to-be master villain who employs the help of Gru to complete her own heist. An innovative teen who doesn’t respect authority and was “born to be bad”, Poppy Prescott plans to surpass Gru and become the generation’s next best supervillain, alongside her cat, Renfield.
Converse’s Poppy-inspired Chucks come textured with Utility-nylon, black satin heels, and an embossed cursive ‘P’ on the outsoles beneath a transparent rubber layer. Decorated with character-themed charms, the black ‘Cat-fur’ laces come with stealthy, silver grip-hooks in place of an aglet. The sockliner print shows Poppy’s sneaky head popping out of her name tag. Where the classic Converse license place sits, find the Despicable Me 4 logo instead.

The shoe’s box has its own immersive experience, opening it with a push of Poppy’s white belt buckle. Transforming into a four-station toy rendering of Poppy’s treehouse, the box features illuminating neon-light fixtures, shelves with gadgets, and her signature spheric chair. Inside the inner walls comes the custom Chuck in a black satin bag with a ‘Poppy Pink’ lace and ‘P’ along the front.
