Di Petsa’s New Guided Meditation Is a 10/10
Fashion designer Dimitra Petsa releases “Mother Persephone,” and it’s now a daily practice.
In celebration of World Mental Health Day, visionary Dimitra Petsa of Di Petsa releases “Mother Persephone,” a guided meditation. Given the transformative nature of her “Wetness Full Moon Ceremony,” I just had to tune in.
For those new to the brand, the Greek designer often incorporates wellness, sexuality and femininity into her designs. Most known for her “wet” dresses worn by Gigi Hadid and more — oh, and her viral masturbation pocket — each of her offerings boldly challenges the norm while providing the audience with healing.
So when news hit about her new guided meditation? I just had to lay out my mat and dive in.
PRODUCT The 7-minute meditation titled “Mother Persephone,” invites the listener to “step into Persephone’s world — a poetic journey that intertwines the richness of nature, ripe fruits and the sensuality of the earth beneath your feet,” the description reads. In Greek mythology, Persephone is the goddess of the underworld and the embodiment of transformation and rebirth.
Petsa told us, “Meditation is an important part of my creative inspiration and mental health. This meditation was created to connect the divine feminine and the healing power of our imagination.”
Furthermore, meditation notoriously aids in sleep, stress management and more personally, aligns me with my sensuality — which was exactly what I was looking for.
THE VERDICT It’s giving my favorite new morning meditation.
As Petsa shared, Persephone’s myth “speaks to the delicate balance between light and shadow and the beauty that blooms from embracing both,” and the meditation encouraged just that.
With rich affirmations, deep breathing exercises and phrases like “You are your own mother” the guided meditation encourages a world of healing, but surprisingly aligned with lessons I’m already on the journey of exploring: reparenting oneself and slowing down.
What was meant to be one listen, turned into a sensual, daily meditation vibe that literally spoke life into me. Where some meditation classes have been clear cash grabs IMO, “Mother Persephone” incorporates evidence-supported techniques like body scan meditation that left me feeling rejuvenated and confident.
10/10 def recommend.
