Hunza G Launches Sun-Protective Swimwear

The new collection offers sun-safe pieces crafted from UPF50+ fabric.

Hunza G just launched its new UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) collection, a capsule range of sun-protective clothing that can be worn both in and out of the water. Offering three core styles, the collection includes a sleeveless swimsuit, a “Rashguard” swimsuit and a “Rashguard” top.

Drawing inspiration from the retro sportswear styling of the ’90s, Hunza G’s new UPF range blends high-performance sun protection with the brand’s signature silhouettes. Landing in classic hues of black and red, the offering also features “Bubblegum” and “Cornflower” colorways for those who like to brighten up their swimwear.

For garments to qualify for the Skin Cancer Foundation’s “seal of recommendation,” they must offer a UPF of 30. Hunza G’s collection is crafted from breathable, UPF50+ fabric and as a result, rates as “excellent” on TSCF’s scale, blocking approximately 98% of the sun’s rays, ultimately reducing the risks associated with sun exposure.

“We created the UPF 50+ collection for people who want to enjoy the sun and outdoors without having to worry constantly about reapplying sunscreen. Just like our signature Original CrinkleTM pieces, it’s all about being comfortable, confident, and ready to move — but with a sportier edge,” says Georgiana Huddart, co-founder of Hunza G.

“The form-fitting technical fabric, which we carefully sourced from the finest Italian makers, covers and sculpts in all the right places, and looks just as good by the ocean as it does styled with a pair of jeans for a sleek, elevated look. The rash vest is the perfect piece to throw on at the end of a beach day over your favorite bikini. Designed for everybody, it’s about feeling great without sacrificing on style,” she adds.

Take a look at the new UPF collection above, now available from the Hunza G website.

In other news, SKIMS announced a collaboration with Dolce&Gabbana.
