Peggy Gou Is Entering Her Beauty Era as Maybelline's New Global Ambassador
The first order of business is remixing one of the brand’s cult classic lipsticks.
Heritage makeup brand Maybelline is ready to remix its cult-classic “Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick” shade range with international DJ Peggy Gou. Gou is the company’s newest global ambassador and will serve as the face of upcoming campaigns and product launches.
“I am honored and excited to join the Maybelline New York family. Maybelline has always been a brand that celebrates individuality and creativity—values that resonate deeply with me,” Gou said in a press release.

Gou’s loyal fanbase catapulted her into mainstream status after the release of her viral single “(It Goes Like) Nanana” last year. The song has earned the artist a plaque for reaching the coveted platinum sales status. “Peggy is the hottest DJ in the world and her songs are everyone’s summer soundtrack. Her infectious energy and her ability to connect with such a diverse audience is a true testament to her authenticity and artistry,” Maybelline’s Global Brand President Trisha Ayyagari shared.
With this new partnership, she will also show how the products fit seamlessly into her lifestyle. “Maybelline products are not only high-performing but also resilient enough to withstand the demands of my often-hectic global touring schedule,” she explained.
Stay tuned for the release of Gou’s extended shade range of the “Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick.”
