Throwback to Tinder x AREA's Reproductive Rights Campaign
The NYFW collab brought the fight for reproductive rights to the runway.
Tinder, AREA and Planned Parenthood brought in New York Fashion Week SS25 with a limited-edition reproductive rights collection.
Now available, “Bans Off Our Bodies” debuted at AREA’s 10-year anniversary runway show. The special edition T-shirt aimed to draw “attention to the tens of millions of people of reproductive age, living in states that ban some or all abortions who face barriers to the care they need,” Tinder shared at the time.
The overturning of Roe v. Wade has impacted the sex and dating lives of 87% of singles. With reproductive justice up in the air, the way we connect is too. Timed not only to NYFW, but Sexual Wellness Month too, AREA, Tinder and Planned Parenthood invited “individuals personally impacted by abortion bans to sit front row at the show, including Nancy Davis, a mother of three who survived Louisiana’s abortion ban traveling over 1,000 miles to NYC in order to receive a safe abortion.”
“Following the show, the shirt will be available to purchase on AREA’s website for $95 USD, with Tinder donating $25,000 USD to Planned Parenthood — regardless of sales.”
