Henry Jacques Debuts "In All Intimacy" Collection with Heron Preston and Sabrina Albarello
Power couples make for the ultimate olfactory muses.
Henry Jacques, the renowned French luxury perfume house, just dropped the next installment of its “In All Intimacy” collection with none other than visionary fashion designer Heron Preston and his creative partner in work and life, Sabrina Albarello.
Known for their trailblazing approach to both fashion and sustainability, Preston and Albarello brought their signature design touch to the world of haute perfumery. Each of the new fragrances are a reflection of the couples’ personal connection and capture the essence of intimacy through scent.
For Preston and Albarello, creating their perfumes with Henry Jacques was a transformative and educational experience. “Nature is the best designer,” said Preston in a statement made to the press. Abarello noted in the same press statement that she “always knows what she likes in the design process or deciding on something she wants to buy, but this is the first time they have worked on a project together in this capacity.”
In an interview with Hypebeast, Preston spoke about the “Heron Preston” perfume creation process. “I was trying to capture a certain mood or an emotion based on past experiences of my relationship with fragrance, with scent. It’s a combination of many different things that I like to wear. It’s a bunch of things that equate to this subtle scent. Nothing that’s super overpowering, that takes over a room completely, but more so, blending in and integrating into every day.”
Preston’s fragrance features rich, warm notes of tonka bean, benzoin and vanilla, complemented by the unique addition of Brazilian palmarosa, which brings a smoky, earthy element. After refining his formula through more than 17 variations, he achieved a scent that feels truly distinct to his style. Abarello’s perfume combines spicy cinnamon with a bouquet of musky florals, offering a sophisticated and dynamic scent profile. Together, the fragrances reflect the harmonious relationship between the dynamic duo.
