Merit’s Debut Fragrance Is Here – And Oh So Sophisticated
Introducing Retrospect, a concentrated extrait de parfum sure to get fragrancetok talking.
Merit, the vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand known for its easy-to-use formulas, has entered the fragrance world. And they aren’t doing so with any old eau de toilette. No, the minimalist beauty brand expanded into a new category four years after launching with a super concentrated extrait de parfum, named Retrospect.
As an extrait de parfum, the brand’s debut scent is made of nearly 30% fragrance oil and therefore is sure to last – and, crucially, evolve – throughout the day.
Crafted in partnership with Fanny Bol, an award-winning French perfumer who also happens to be the youngest person ever to be named Senior Perfumer at one of the world’s oldest fragrance houses in France, Retrospect is a clean fragrance.
It opens with sweet and sensual notes of aldehydes, bergamot, pear and ambrette. At the heart, you’ll find rosemary, orris, jasmine and rose; a blend of herbaceous and floral tones meant to captivate the senses. Finally, at the base we have vanilla, musk and moss, a rich and bold trio that leave you feeling grounded and alert.
