Get a Closer Look at PUMA and Coperni's New 90SQR Sneaker
Blokecore is going nowhere fast.
Blokecore took center stage during Paris Fashion Week last season, as futuristic luxury brand, Coperni debuted its second collaboration with sportswear giant, PUMA.
Drawing inspiration from PUMA’s classic football boot, the new silhouette fuses high-tech innovation with the ultimate wearability. Dubbed the 90SQR, the new shoe blends the worlds of football and fashion and arrives in three core colorways of White, Asphalt and Mad Yellow. Crafted with a mesh base, the new shoe features taped seams, Coperni branding on the heels and co-branding across its lace tips.
“We are so proud of this collaboration with PUMA. It is a big milestone for a designer to launch their first sneaker. The 90SQR gathers all our common values: innovation, minimalism and uniqueness. It’s everything we have dreamed of, and we look forward to launching more PUMA x Coperni pieces in the near future,” said Coperni founders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant in a press release.
Echoing that sentiment is PUMA’s Global Creative Director, Heiko Desens, adding, “From a material standpoint, it’s strictly [about] performance. We stayed very close to the material specifications of performance boots. The square toe is the strongest design feature that takes it out of the athletic world because it’s such a classic shape and it represents a high-fashion shoe.”
