HYPEBAE Radio Examines How To Create Meaningful, Authentic Art in New Podcast Episode
A discussion on reshaping the creative landscape with Crystal Anderson, Dana Scruggs, Aya Brown and Mandy Harris-Williams.
To amplify the voices, journeys and experiences of Black female creatives and gender nonconforming people of color who are reshaping the creative landscape, HYPEBAE in collaboration with Converse have joined forces to develop The Creative Come Up series. Through this dynamic approach, the multifaceted content series has served as an inspirational mode by providing aspiring creatives with the tools, resources, and education to achieve their dreams and creative pursuits.
As the final culmination of The Creative Come Up series, HYPEBAE Radio and Converse launched a podcast show dubbed “The Creative Come Up: Graduating Class” that was comprised of moderator and social theorist Mandy Harris-Williams and panelists that included artist Aya Brown, photographer Dana Scruggs and Crystal Anderson, head of creative and co-founder of a very good job. In this week’s episode, “Reshaping the Creative Landscape,” the pioneers of change were brought together to discuss how their heritage and upbringing has influenced their chosen craft, the significance of creating meaningful, authentic art and how staying connected with their community allows their creativity to flourish.
