Sandy Liang Puts Her Feminine Spin on Salomon's Speedcross and Mary Jane
Another match made in heaven for sneaker hybrid lovers.
Sandy Liang is back with another much-needed Salmon collaboration, building on the success of their first team-up back in April 2023. Fusing technical footwear with contemporary girlhood, the collaboration debuts two new styles: the Speedcross 3 Ribbon and the RX MJ Sandy Liang.
“Our first collaboration was focused on updating Salomon styles I loved with key elements of nostalgia and femininity,” explains Liang. “This time around, I’m thrilled to expand on my ideas to incorporate my design point-of-view in a more distinctive way.”
Teased on the runway at New York Fashion Week, the new collaboration sees functional silhouettes given a feminine twist, utilizing Liang’s signature characteristics and ribbon detailing. First up is the Speedcross 3 Ribbon Sandy Liang, boasting an all-black upper with lightweight, cushioned sole complete with a pink satin ribbon that wraps around the calf.
The second is the RX MJ Sandy Liang, a traditional Mary-Jane silhouette enriched with elements of the RX MOC 3.0. Crafted from nubuck leather, the classic shoe boasts 3D open mesh and is available in black and “Vanilla Ice.”
