How Valentina Voight Makes “Boss Babe Culture” Hot

Lingerie brand Voight’s founder opens up about building a sex-positive empire for (and by) the girlies, her top sex tips and more.

What does it take to thrive in a “boss babe culture?” Is there such a thing as too much pink? And what is it like dating KidSuper? These are just some of the questions Valentina Voight, founder of viral swimwear, lingerie and sex toy brand Voight, answers in the first episode of Servin’ Sex, Hypebae’s brand new podcast.

That’s right baes, we’re taking our sex-positive safe space into the audiosphere. Hosted by Hypebae’s very own Sex & Dating editor, Gigi Fong, Servin’ Sex is a boundary-defying show breaking through the intersections of sex, fashion, art and wellness. Think of this podcast as the sex education you didn’t get in school — but more fun and fit for lovers of all identities. We’ll be discussing everything from sexuality to rejecting societal norms, with a good deal of dating advice thrown in for good measure.

In this week’s episode, we’re revisiting all things Barbie, but not Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster. No, Voight’s fantasy world has long been inspired by Mattel’s iconic doll – to the point where even her warehouse and home are both entirely, perfectly pink. “Since I was a little kid, I have loved Barbie. To me, Barbie isn’t about fake beauty standards, Barbie meant I could be whatever I want,” she explains. And who Voight wanted to be was girly – and successful.

“I was very intentional about wanting to create products for women by women,” says Voight. The Varbie community (Voight’s Barbies, that is) came first, and what followed has grown in just four years into a thriving business. “When I create designs, everything is made for girls, and to make you feel good, feel confident.” Aside from lingerie and swimwear, Voight has also created a line of sex toys (and shares her top tips on the pod, too).

Fans of Voight will also be well aware of her love life. Currently dating fashion designer and Louis Vuitton‘s FW23 co-creative director KidSuper, real name Colm Dillane, Voight and her partner are undoubtedly a power couple. (How many other couples do you see getting congratulated by Travis Kelce for cosplaying as Kelce and Taylor on Halloween? Wearing KidSuper’s clothing, no less). Speaking to Fong, Voight opens up about her love language (gift giving), how she keeps a high-profile romance alive, and the story behind the bespoke Barbie which sent the internet into an absolute spin.

Servin’ Sex will drop right here, on Hypebae Radio, and on your favorite podcasting platforms – Spotify, Apple Podcasts, wherever you listen – every Wednesday. Be sure to check back or subscribe to make sure you don’t miss a beat. And, if you love the show, make sure to send the link to a friend!
