"Good 4 U"? Good for Her: Lancôme Taps Olivia Rodrigo as Its Global Brand Ambassador

The star and the beauty giant are the perfect match.

Lancôme just announced that they’ve tapped the Grammy-awarding pop star Olivia Rodrigo as its newest Global Brand Ambassador — and we’re here for it. Known for her raw, unfiltered lyrics and powerhouse vocals, Rodrigo has quickly become one of the most influential voices of her generation and now, she’s bringing her unique energy to the beauty world.

Rodrigo’s rise to fame has been nothing short of meteoric. She first caught our attention as an actress on Disney Channel, but it was her breakout single “Driver’s License in 2021 that truly launched her into super-stardom. That song (and her debut album SOUR) dominated charts worldwide and made her the most-streamed female artist on Spotify. In 2023, Rodrigo dropped GUTS, an album that racked up over 4.1 billion streams and counting. She’s also been touring the globe, selling out arenas in North America, Europe, Asia and beyond.

“Embracing your individuality is so important in beauty since there are many unrealistic expectations placed on young women today. Lancôme is an iconic and timeless brand that promotes beauty from within and I am honored to be part of their family,” Rodrigo said in a statement to the press.

But Rodrigo’s impact goes far beyond her music. She’s also using her platform to fight for women’s rights, with initiatives like “Fund 4 Good,” which supports nonprofits focused on women’s reproductive rights and combating gender-based violence.
